Youth in crisis with nowhere to live need our help, and the dogs are ready to step up! To help the Anchor House kids, I’ve assembled a team of Kind Canines for Kids eager to run, lope, cavort, and sniff their way to a collective 50+ miles, in hopes that their antics and abundant cuteness will inspire you to pitch in a little something for the kids.

Bruno, a one year-old Lagotto Romagnolo, is modeling the Anchor House bandana in the photo above, and he’ll be joined by a variety of other “ruff and ready” volunteers throughout the next month. Each Sunday, I’ll update you on our progress, complete with a list and photos of the week’s Kind Canines in action!

In particular, two of our Kind Canines are on a special mission; Bubba (pit bull mix) and Bergamot (hound-lab mix) are walking in memory of their human mom and my dear friend, Laurie, a longtime, generous supporter of Anchor House. She left special doggie gear for this event to help "her boys" raise cash for the kids.
