Training Rides
Join us on sample date
Training Rides are mostly for riders in the Classic Ride. Two of them are mandatory for new participants and certain veteran riders. The last is also the start of the Flex Ride, and Flex riders are invited to join in.
In addition to the minimum equipment/skills required to participate, we recommend that you bring:
- cell phone, charged, with Ride with GPS route of training ride, and area street map downloaded for offline use
- pumped-up tires
- bike computer
- biking gloves
- sunglasses
- mirror
- ID, $

New participants in the Classic Ride and veteran riders who have not participated in the Classic Ride since 2016 must do the first training ride.

RIDERS
There will be two sequential but different loops from Shopping Center. You may ride the first or both loops and have rover support. You may ride Loop 2 first, but we will consider you on a personal ride (and will not provide rover support). You may ride only Loop 2 (after riders from Loop 1 have started Loop 2) and have rover support, but there is no estimated start time for Loop 2.
Classic and Flex Ride riders welcome.

Loop 1: "La Vuelta Maria"
Route: 36.4 mi., +1,640 ft.

Loop 1 will include a SAG stop at mile 32 in tribute to rider and Anchor House fan Maria Hector, who passed in February due to illness. It will be hosted by Maria's family.

There will be a guided loop of about 3 miles, on sidewalks and paths, from the shopping center, across town, into Community Park North, and back
