Hi Everyone,
Turning 60 comes with years of knowledge, experience, and maybe just a little craziness! After thinking long and hard about this milestone birthday and all my many blessings, I decided I wanted to do something meaningful — something that would challenge me physically while also giving back.
This July 11–17, I’ll be riding 500 miles in the Anchor House Ride for Runaways, bicycling from Virginia to New Jersey over 7 days - riding approximately 75 miles a day. Anchor House raises money each year to support runaway youth who often have nowhere else to turn. Their programs provide shelter, guidance, and hope for children and families who truly need it.
To prepare for the ride, I’ve been training hard with 30, 40, 50, and even 60+ mile rides almost every day. It’s definitely been challenging, but knowing my efforts will help these kids keeps me motivated.
