500 Miles. 7 Days. One Goal: Hope for Our Youth.

Dear Family and Friends,
Imagine being a teenager with nowhere to turn - fleeing a home that isn't safe or facing the cold reality of the streets alone. For many youth in our community, this isn't a "what if"; it’s their daily life.
But there is a harbor in the storm. Since 1978, Anchor House has provided a safe haven, professional counseling, supports, resources, and a path toward independence for abused, neglected, and unhoused kids.
To keep these doors open, I’m doing something a little bit crazy … again! This July, I am rejoining a dedicated group of cyclists for the Anchor House Ride for Runaways. We will be pedaling 500 miles over seven days, starting in Winchester, Virginia, and fighting our way back home to Trenton, New Jersey.
It’s going to be grueling. There will be steep climbs, summer heat, and exhausted legs. But every mile I pedal is a reminder of the uphill battle our kids face every day—and every dollar we raise ensures they don't have to climb that mountain alone.
Together, last year we raised $1975.00, while the ride totaled upwards of $500,000. My personal goal this year is to raise $2000 for the kids of Anchor House. Whether you can give a little or a lot, every cent goes toward providing a future for a child who felt they didn't have one.
If you prefer to donate by check, please make it out to Anchor House Foundation and include my name in the memo line.
Thank you for being the "anchor" these kids need. I’ll be thinking of your generosity with every mile I clock between Virginia and Jersey. Feel free to pass this fundraising request on to those in your circle of family and friends who you think would be interested in supporting the ride. Also, please check with your employer for their policy on matching you donation gift options!
With gratitude,
Bill - Cyclist, Anchor House Ride for Runaways
