This July, I'll be participating in a 500-mile cycling ride to support Anchor House and its mission to help end youth abuse, neglect, and homelessness.

If you know me, you know that I'm not a lifelong cyclist. In fact, I recently got back in the saddle after years away and have been training to prepare for this challenge. Over seven days, I'll ride 500 miles as part of Anchor House's annual Ride for Runaways fundraiser. It will be one of the most physically demanding challenges I've ever taken on, but it's nothing compared to the challenges faced by the young people Anchor House serves every day.

Anchor House works with youth and young adults ages 12 to 24 who have run away, are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, have experienced abuse or neglect, or are transitioning out of the child welfare system. Through crisis intervention, case management, shelter, counseling, and basic necessities, Anchor House helps young people find safety, stability, and a path toward independence.

I'm asking for your support as I work toward my fundraising goal of $2,500. Every donation, regardless of size, helps Anchor House continue providing these critical services and advancing its mission to end youth abuse, neglect, and homelessness for good.

Thank you for considering a donation and for supporting both this important cause and my journey. Together, we can help young people not only survive, but thrive.

With gratitude,

Ahuacan
