Hi friends—

I’m gearing up (literally) for my favorite annual tradition: the Anchor House Ride for Runaways. One week of cycling, purpose, and—yes—glorious heat and humidity. While others chase wet and waves, I’ll be lugging lycra, logging miles, and pedaling 500 miles from Winchester, VA straight to the Quakerbridge Mall. I roll out on July 11.

Paradise is personal.

This will be another unforgettable week on the road with an incredible community, all riding for a cause that means a great deal to me. Anchor House provides shelter, counseling, education, and job training to young people who need a safe place to land—and a strong path forward.

Plot twist.

This year comes with something new: I’m honored (and a little daunted) to serve as Director of Events for the Ride for Runaways. So in addition to riding the full 500 miles—my 30th year—I’ll also be overseeing the event itself. Thankfully, there’s an amazing team with me… but it will be a full week in every sense.

I’ve committed to raising $4,030 to support Anchor House’s mission. If you’re able to donate, I’d be deeply grateful—you can do that right here.

Can’t give right now? No worries. Between now and July 11, I’ll be training across the back roads of Mercer, Somerset, Middlesex, and Hunterdon Counties. If you spot me in one of my many Anchor House jerseys, a wave or friendly honk goes a long way—it fuels the ride.

Every dollar, every cheer, every kind word goes directly to life-changing programs for youth and families. It all matters.

Thanks for being in my corner.

Best - Martha
