On July 12th, I will be participating in my 29th Anchor House Ride, a 500-mile, week long, bike ride to raise funds and awareness for Anchor House, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping at-risk youth and families in and around Mercer County. The route varies from year to year…always starting somewhere, out there, and returning to the Quakerbridge Mall. On July 12th, I'll be hauled off to Geneva, NY - the tippy top of Seneca Lake - and wend my way back home via Corning, Binghamton, Scranton, Stroudsburg, and Clinton before the final leg into the Q Mall.
Over the years, I have seen firsthand the incredible impact that Anchor House has on the lives of young people in need. They provide shelter, counseling, education, and job training programs that help young people build a brighter future for themselves and their families. In addition to participating as a rider, I am a member of the Anchor House Foundation Board, have been honored to support this organization for many years, and I am thrilled to be participating in the Anchor House Ride once again. And, of course, it's my idea of the PERFECT vacation... miles of sunshine, heat, & humidity with some of my favorite people.
If you would like to help me reach my fundraising goal of $4,029, you can easily do that right here by pushing that big "donate" button.
If you are thinking "I WANT IN" but are not in a place to donate that's terrific too! From now til July 12th I'll be busy racking up the training miles on the backroads of Mercer, Somerset, Middlesex and Hunterdon County… if you see me, give a shout or a honk. I’ll be proudly sporting one of my many Anchor House cycling jerseys and welcome your support.
I'm grateful for your generosity in whatever form you choose.
Tailwind at your back.
