I am excited to participate in the Anchor Ride Ride for Runaways for the 24th time. The Classic “Ride for Runaways” begins in Harrisonburg, Virginia on July 13th and returns to Trenton, New Jersey on July 20th, averaging 70 to 75 miles a day on my bicycle. During these seven days, we will ride through parts of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania before we make our way back to the Trenton, New Jersey area where Anchor House is located.

This event is in support of Anchor House, an organization that I have been involved with for many years, and even more so currently, as I joined the Board of Directors in 2021 and am currently serving as Treasurer.

I am so proud of our mission, which is quite simply and straightforward, and yet has changed lives for over 45 years and continues to do so every day.

Who do we serve?
Youth and young adults who are experiencing abuse, neglect, homelessness or are aging out of the foster care system.

What do we do?
We provide a comprehensive suite of services, including support such as safe housing options, transitional living programs to learn how to live independently, life skills training and ongoing support, mental health support and substance abuse prevention services.

Why?
This suite of services offers these young people and their families the support they need to succeed and thrive.
