I would like to request that you sponsor me on the 47th Annual Ride for Runaways. Like the past several years, the Ride-for-Runaways will continue to have three challenges; the original “Classic” 500 mile ride, the “Flex” (or Virtual) 500 mile ride, and a third “Walking” 100 mile option. This is my 16th year and I will be participating in the Classic Ride which begins Saturday July 12th, in Geneva, NY, in the beautiful Finger Lakes region. We will ride along Seneca Lake and through Watkins Glen to our next night in Corning, NY. Along our journey we will stop in Binghamton, NY, Scranton, PA, E Stroudsburg, PA and Clinton, NJ. We will travel through 3 states and 2 major river valleys eventually crossing the Delaware River through the beautiful Delaware Water Gap into New Jersey. Our trip will end in Trenton, NJ on Saturday, July 19th, with ceremonies at center court in the Quaker Bridge Mall (Trenton, New Jersey). Hope to see you all there!

Remember, Every mile counts. Every dollar counts. Every kid counts. Please help us help the kids!

For the past 47 years, Anchor House has provided comprehensive programming to assist in solving the problems of runaway and homeless youth and their families. Whenever possible, Anchor House helps families reunite and stay together. When they can't, Anchor House gets kids off the street, gives them shelter, and provides a place for them to live while they learn the skills they need to be independent. Anchor House serves youth between the ages of 12 to 21, and has served innumerable youth in its history. Programs at Anchor House include a walk-in shelter, a street outreach program, a crisis intervention program, a transitional living program, and a shelter for children ages 12 through 17.

The primary source of funding for Anchor House is the Annual Ride for Runaways. Each year in July, about 200 cyclists and 30 support crew members embark on one of the three different challenges to raise money for the Anchor House programs.

All charitable donations will be acknowledged by the Anchor House via a letter stating the amount of your donation and their status as a non-profit charitable organization (for tax purposes).

Again, many thanks for your support from me and the kids of Anchor House!

Best Regards,
Mark Grasman
