Let's Ride!

There are hundreds of rides like this across the country each year, right?
The Anchor House Ride for Runaways is different.
The devotion of the organizers, volunteers, and riders to the children of Anchor House is what separates these 500 miles from the others.
Please learn more about the Anchor House Programs: 1) Safe Housing; 2) Street Outreach; 3) Counseling; 4) Life Skills & Education Assistance; 5) and Youth Leadership Development.
I look forward to spending the day with my riding partner Mark Francione, singing Clash lyrics or classics from Jonathan Richman and The Modern Lovers. I look forward to helping Lisa Pitcherello, my walking partner, achieve her walking and riding miles. I look forward to relaxing post ride with Marti, Bob, and their gang of outlaws and laughing at all the jokes. I look forward to flowing through the countryside between the Finger Lakes region and Trenton. I look forward to making new friends on the ride, like last year when Kyeisha, Mark, and I enjoyed the final day together. And I look forward to being one of just two riders flying the Lemond vintage steel and titanium colors.
It is impossible to overstate how well this event is executed and how wonderful the corps of volunteers are.
I cannot wait to this extraordinary week in July!
Please consider donating to support the Anchor House mission.
