Michelle Goss

Michelle Goss

Thank you for visiting; I will be riding 500 miles over the course of 7 days from Harrisonburg, VA to Trenton, NJ. Please make a donation so that Anchor House, Inc. can continue their mission to work with abused, homeless, runaway, at risk and aging out youth! Together we can make a difference.
Best - Michelle

I was back in the saddle this morning to play in the hills for 22 miles. In about one month, I will be leaving for Harrisonburg, VA to start my 7 days 50 miles bicycle trek back to Trenton, NJ for the Anchor House Ride for runaways, abused, and at kids.

43 miles and about 2,500 ft of climbing done yesterday at Cory's Ride. Cory was a 16 year old who was killed by a car on the last day on the Anchor House Ride for Runaways. This ride supports the scholarship fund in his memory.

Yeah! 3 consecutive days of riding for a total 59.5 miles and 2,834 ft of climbing. It has been cold in the morning every ride, I had woke up tired on one day and I thought about staying in the bed today, but I push my way through it all. It is training time. My motto is to train hard for the event so that the event is easier. 7 days and 500 miles is work, but is worth it for the kids that need help. Tomorrow is rest day so I can be ready to tackle the Federal Twist climb among other climbs. #anchorhouse #forthekids #donatenow #anchorhouseride #traininginthehills #donatenow

Yeah!! Another day out searching for the hills to climb. My training buddy had to cancel this morning, but that was not going stop me from riding 20 miles today. I am my own motivator. #traininghard #anchorhouseride #forthekids #donatenow

20 solo miles done this morning. I was tired when I got up, but I was determined to get those miles even though I thought about a shorter ride.

Yesterday, as part of my training for Anchor house training, I rode100 miles and close to 3,000 ft of climbing with Eugene Jones at The Farmlands Cycling Event! Next up, the long hilly Anchor House Training Ride with new riders next Saturday. Looking forward to meeting the new riders and riding with them since I had to miss the short training ride! #traininghard #century #farmlands

25 miles done in the cold this morning with my training buddy George A. Desser. I was not looking forward to putting on layers of clothes at 5 am this morning, but I needed to get out to ride. Hopefully, tomorrow it will be a bit warmer in the morning. Of course, I am still going to ride. It is training time outside. I need help with my fundraising goal, so please consider making a donation. It is a worthy cause. #forthekids #donatenow #anchorhouseride

I was determine to ride my road bicycle the cold in the hills this morning. I did not even look at the weather as I did not care how cold it was going to be. I just wanted to get playing in the hills as my Anchor House short hilly training ride was coming up soon and I did not want that to be the first time going up Pleasant Valley Road climb. I wish I had time to hit Goat Hill this morning, but I got some other climbs instead. #itistrainingtime #anchorhouse #ahride2018 #donatenow #forthekids

Riding on the D&R Canal Trail

Yeah!! I finally got to take 29er out for a spin on the trails as the snow and rain has prevented me from getting out. It was a bit muddy in spots and had to take a short detour off the trail due to construction work. I would of love to been out on my road bicycle playing in the hills, but it was a bit windy and cold for that this morning. Our first official short hilly training ride is coming on Saturday, April 15. I hope can get out on my road bicycle a couple times by then
