This July I'm doing the 500-mile Anchor House Ride to again support the work of the Anchor House, a nonprofit in Trenton that provides shelter, counseling, and a safe space for runaway, abused, and at-risk kids and their families in Mercer County.

Anchor House's programs provide a continuum of care for youth and young adults agess 12-21. This includes a 24-hour shelter for at-risk youth ages 12-17; the Anchorage Transitional Living Program for young adults ages 18-21 who are aging out of the foster care population (the program provides residential and life skill services to help them in their successful transition to independence); the Anchor Line Apartment Program to help homeless individuals ages 18-21; the Anchor Link Program to reach out to vulnerable youths on the streets; and the Connecting Youth program to help youths build a support system so they have life-long connections in the community. For more info on Anchor House, check out

Please consider making a donation to support the Anchor House and keep its important programs and services going for the kids in Mercer County who need them. Any amount you can contribute is appreciated, and thank you!
