We have has some wonderful rides the last two days, coming into Gettysburg and today doing 60 mile loop from Gettysburg. Beautiful area, lots of history, and a nice town. I spent some time today planning for our Friday banquet night (after the ride) when we get to meet an anchor house “kid” who will receive an award from the foundation, give out awards for number of years ridden, and get an update on out fundraising.
from today’s ride!
Me and my riding partners!
Hello everyone! Two days into the ride, and so far the weather has been great for riding. Saturday we bussed down to Charlottesville VA from Trenton, and started riding Sunday. We rode to Culpepper the first day, and rode to Leesburg today. Off to Gettysburg tomorrow! Today was 80 miles of rolling hills, total of 4000 feet of climbing, but luckily it was mostly gradual and small climbs. We have been through a lot of beautiful farmland, and Leesburg is a nice town with restaurants, coffee shops etc. we had a nice dinner in town followed by ice cream.
