Kids Need Our Help

Stephen Marinko

This year, I'm participating for the 21st time in the Ride for Runaways to benefit Anchor House Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to assisting runaway, homeless, and abused youths in central New Jersey. I will again be doing the ride virtually; between June 5th and July 17th, I'll ride at least 500 miles on my bike.

I am again asking my family and friends to sponsor me in the Ride for Runaways, by joining me in making a contribution to Anchor House. My goal is to raise at least $4,500 in donations. Your tax-deductible donations to Anchor House enable it to continue its critical programs that provide hope for young persons in need – ranging from very young children to older teenagers. By supporting Anchor House, you help make a real difference in these young persons’ lives.

Hopefully, the Ride for Runaways will be able to resume its traditional ride format next year, and we’ll finally get a chance to ride the route from Charlottesville, VA to Trenton, NJ that has been postponed the last two years. I’m grateful that I have the opportunity to do this year’s virtual ride and to raise funds in support of Anchor House. Thanks in advance for your anticipated generosity. I deeply appreciate your support, as do all those associated with Anchor House and the young persons who benefit from its services.

It always seemed that you guys rode in late July, the hottest time of the year. Because of the changes this year, I anticipated that saner minds would ride earlier to avoid the brutal heat. Is there info on the site to see which traditionalists waited until the most 'familiar' sweltering weather to "REALLY" earn those donations? Congratulations to all
