Please support me my 13th Anchor House Ride for Runaways and the 40th anniversary of the ride!

The real reason I do the ride every year is because of the mission. Anchor House is helping kids, who go live in our neighborhoods and go to our schools. It's also the reason I am honored and proud to serve as Vice President on the Anchor House Board of Directors.

When the Ride for Runaways began more than 40 years ago, it was a way of raising funds for Anchor House to continue its work and raise awareness of that work. Today the ride raises more than a third of the organization’s annual operating costs. Anchor House, which started as a shelter for runaway and abused children in Trenton, NJ, has been a safe place for kids with nowhere else to go since 1978. With community support and the increasing need to help more kids, Anchor House has been able to expand their programs.

Today Anchor House is a multi-service agency for runaway, homeless, abused, and at-risk youth and their families. Anchor House has committed its efforts to providing comprehensive, life-saving assistance to our most vulnerable population. Its services include:

*Anchor House Shelter, an emergency shelter for young people ages 12-17
*The Anchorage, a transitional living program for ages 18-21
*Anchor Link, community outreach for children and youths ages 6-21

As a board member, I can attest that Anchor House is a very well run organization with very low overhead. The $ raised truly go to help the kids. Any donation is very much appreciated. Thank your for your support.
